About Tres the Great

Tres the Great is a Utah-based comedy magician, veteran entertainer, and lifelong student of the art of deception. His shows blend clean comedy, psychological misdirection, audience participation, and classic magic into an experience designed for both kids and adults.
Born in Puerto Rico as the third child in his family, Tres explains his name with a smile: it is pronounced “Trace,” like “uno, dos, tres.” He still jokes that he voted for the last child to be named “Ocho,” but apparently he was the only one committed to the numbering system.
Tres first discovered magic at age 8 and began performing paid shows by age 12. Over the decades, he has entertained audiences across the country and beyond, including performances in the Philippines while his family lived near Clark Air Base, shows connected with military and USO-style events, and later performances while serving in the U.S. Army as far south as Panama. He has also performed coast to coast, from California to Maine, including shows in Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, and throughout the Intermountain West.
From 1991 to 1998, Tres worked at the legendary Orem magic store MAGIZMOS, where he demonstrated magic, entertained customers, promoted the store brand, and continued sharpening his sleight of hand, showmanship, and ability to connect with real audiences.
Today, Tres performs as Tres the Great Magic, serving Salt Lake County, Utah County, Davis County, and events throughout Utah and adjoining states. His shows are funny, theatrical, interactive, and professional — the kind of entertainment that makes an event easier for the host and memorable for the audience.
Whether performing for a school assembly, library program, birthday party, corporate event, civic celebration, holiday party, private gathering, or close-up magic setting, Tres brings decades of experience and a show that feels personal instead of canned.
